Bacchanalia is the new, trendy, and utterly unique City Wine Merchant. Our offices are located at Broken Wharf House, a wonderful location on the River Thames, bang opposite the Tate Modern and Shakespeare’s Globe. You can find our restaurant, River Café by Sergi Arola within our shop, where you can taste all our wines and organic products in situ.
We are a retail unit showcasing United Wineries portfolio, with products from Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Arribes del Duero, Rueda, Andalucia and Penedes. We also stock a wider range of products from exciting and emerging regions such as Priorat and Valencia. An extension to our portfolio has meant additional wines from Italy, and Argentinean wines will be coming soon. In all we have 240 wines in stock.
Alongside the wines we stock a range of our own natural foods and olive oils. Cheeses include the award winning Queso Curado de Oveja and Torta, whilst the meat range includes Pata Negra Jamon Iberico, possible the finest ham in the World, chorizo, salchichon and culminates in Spanish favourite Cana de Lomo Iberico de Bellota.
Aside from its UK operations, the restaurant, River Café by Sergi Arola and the shop, Bacchanalia, through its partnership with Haciendas de España, offers an array of exclusive services throughout Spain, including Wine Tourism, Gastronomy Specialities and Wine Activities.
We are different to most in that we are in fact a wine investment company. We own a number of vineyards, 5 star wine hotels and a vast number of brands. The business that we have set up under the name of Bacchanalia concentrates on our top single vineyard wines. These wines all have a story behind them and cannot be sold throughout the UK due to the minimal quantities produced each year (10,000 bottles or less).
However at Bacchanalia you can buy these icon wines. So make the most of the opportunity to enjoy our exclusive product portfolio.
